Statement – March 20th, 2025

We are in grief and shock following the attacks on Gaza this week and the abandonment of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Whilst we, like many, have found ourselves without words, we continue to call out Christian Zionism as an integral root that this agenda of genocide grows from.

We call on our Christian leaders to join us in combating this racist ideology, and to speak truth  by naming this as a genocide. Words that tiptoe around this are inadequate.

We call on our Government to sanction Israel and expel the Israeli Ambassador.

We also call on our Government to create emergency reunification pathways for families of Palestinians trapped in Gaza, and to provide adequate diplomatic pressure for the Gaza-Egypt border to be opened, to allow people out, and aid in.

May the events of this week convict us to deepen our efforts in uprooting Christian Zionism.

May they pull us from our comfort and propel us further into action.

May they embolden us into true acts of justice.
